Position Description

The Director of the Institute of Geoenergy (IG/FORTH), Professor Ioannis Gentekakis, hereby announces a Call for Expressions of Interest for the recruitment of one (1) Scientific Associate – Early Stage Researcher (ESR) under a fixed-term private law employment contract. The successful candidate will work on the subject: "Energy and Subsurface Storage of Hydrogen and Carbon Dioxide within the Framework of the Energy Transition: Geological and Geochemical Parameters" within the framework of the research project entitled "Twinning to Sustainable Energy Transition" (acronym: TWINN2SET, Grant Agreement No. 101079246), funded by the European Union under Horizon Europe, with project code ΕΥΖ00022.

Required Qualifications
  • MSc degree in Mineral Resources Engineering or Chemical Engineering
  • Laboratory experience in high-pressure and high-temperature thermodynamic and core-flooding experiments
  • Good communication skills
  • Two potential referees
