During the 2nd Project Meeting a Workshop on Citizen Engagement (task 3.3) took place on 28th of September 2023 in the context of the 40 Years Anniversary celebration of FORTH (Art exhibition & cultural event on Energy Transition & Climate Change)

The 40th anniversary of the Foundation for Research and Technology-Hellas (FORTH) was celebrated on Thursday 28/9/2023 in Chania, at an event organized by the Institute of Geoenergy of FORTH at the "Dimitris Vlisidis" theatre in Koum Kapi. Speakers were the President of FORTH, Professor Nektarios Tavenarakis, who spoke about the impressive development and plans for further growth of FORTH - now the largest research institute in the country - and the Scientific Director of the French Institute of Petroleum and Energy Economics (IFPEN), Dr. Olga Vizika Kavvadia, who spoke about various aspects of the relationship between energy and climate change. The speakers were introduced by the Director of the Geoenergy Institute, Professor Nikos Pasadakis, while in the foyer of the theatre there was a photo exhibition on "Energy Transition and Climate Change", with works by Nikos Loupakis. The event closed with a special artistic note, the piano and silent film concert "The lights of the city" by Giorgos Saltaris, a production of the Chania Film Festival.
